So if I put this on paper, so to speak, I will prob. stick to it more...right? My track record of sticking with things over the years has not been the greatest, so for me to stay on track with 17 official weeks of training is really a challenge. We are now in week 6, but with the knowledge of the marathon coming up I added some light walking on top of my regular yoga and have been at that a while longer. I thought for sure my knees would be the problem for me, since thats what has given me the most grief so far, but it turns out that it is the arches on my feet. Super duper. I have been able to adjust the laces on my shoes enough for now to keep the pain to a minimum, but with old injuries in the area im sure I will have to learn to cope with it. Heres whats gone on so far this week:
* Monday: This was a fun XT day....we went roller skating and I ended up doing about 1.5 miles. I better have burned some calories. (some photos on myspace)
*Tuesday: Rough day for me; I did a lot around the house, put on some miles though. I weeded the front flowerbeds, cleaned out the garage, did 6 loads of laundry (and even got some out on the line), deep cleaned our bedroom and bathroom and finished up clearing out and sorting the playroom (now the rec room/ workout stuff). Then after feeling guilty admitting to Kris that I hadnt walked today, I put on 20 minutes of good effort on the treadmill.
*Wednesday: I was still up until Shane left this morning. enough said? I got in some meditation and will add some yoga tonight...mixing it up is good.
There is a lot going on here right now, and with the words of the great voice on my Ipod:
I am
I am light
I am freedom
I am......
